A visual atlas of the
Philippine economy.
I'm Jared — an American living in Palawan, Philippines. One day I was googling GDP data for Philippine provinces and realized: all the beautiful data tools exist for the US. None for the Philippines. So I built one, just for fun.
This is a side project I work on in my free time. It covers all 82 provinces — GDP history, sector breakdowns, population data, and some of my own research and thoughts on the economics here. I find this stuff genuinely fascinating, and I hope you do too.

Why I built this
I relocated to Puerto Princesa, Palawan in late 2025. Living here full-time, I got curious — really curious — about the economics of the country I now call home. I started having long conversations with friends about GDP, remittances, regional inequality, and why some provinces thrive while others don't.
I wanted a visual thing to represent those numbers. Something I could pull up and say "look at this" and actually show people what I was talking about. So I built it. I posted it publicly so I could share a link. If you're a random stranger on the internet who stumbled here — welcome. I hope you find something fascinating.
Found something wrong? Tell me.
I want this to be accurate and useful, not just pretty. If you spot something that's incorrect, outdated, or missing — please reach out. I genuinely welcome criticism, corrections, and suggestions. This only gets better with community input.
